Chopin - Zarębski - Szymanowski

Chopin Zarębski Szymanowski

Kamil Borkowski is a talented pianist of the young generation. He is distinguished by his remarkable technical ease, rich sound palette, and exceptional performance energy. On his first album, the artist offers us fascinating interpretations of Romantic and post-Romantic music, leading the listener into a world of intense experiences, where strong expression intertwines with intimacy, freedom with order, and reflection with truly sensual beauty. The artist’s debut album features mature works by Fryderyk Chopin (1810–1849) – both the great, well-known and the smaller, personal, sophisticated ones. The album is complemented by two unique virtuoso pieces, i.e. the rarely performed, thrilling Grande Polonaise in F-sharp Major, Op. 6 by Juliusz Zarębski (1854–1885), placed on a par with Chopin’s polonaises, and the extremely attractive and at the same time intriguing youthful Variations in B-flat Minor, Op. 3 by Karol Szymanowski (1882–1937), one of the greatest European artists of the beginning of the 20th century.
